³ Then seven other cows came up out of the Nile after them. They were ugly and thin, and they stopped alongside the first cows on the shore of the Nile. ⁴ The ugly and thin cows devoured the seven beautiful and fat cows. Then Pharaoh woke up.

⁵ He fell back asleep and had a second dream. There were seven heads of grain on one stalk, fat and healthy.
